Baseball Recap: Somerville Comes Up Short

Somerville had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 2-16 to make it 11. They came up short against the Milano Eagles, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Tuesday.

As for Milano, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8-1. Considering they have won ten games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Milano's part, they got a massive performance out of Jackson Reyes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Reyes has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Daniel Frei, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one triple.

As of now, neither Somerville nor Milano have any future games scheduled.
