Volleyball Recap: South Iron Comes Up Short

South Iron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the New Madrid County Central Eagles. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

Ellie Parker paced South Iron's offense, picking up two kills. Parker got some help from Alayna Darian and her two assists.

South Iron's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for New Madrid County Central, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

South Iron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Greenville on the 13th. As for New Madrid County Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Bismarck on the 13th.
