Volleyball Recap: Loretto Mustangs vs. East Robertson Indians
Loretto had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the East Robertson Indians on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Loretto took East Robertson into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 19-25, 25-23, 15-9.
Ally Weathers paced Loretto's offense, picking up 26 kills. Weathers got some help from
Jacy Franklin and her 36 assists.
Aubrey Ezell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Loretto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 37 of their last 38 games, which provided a nice bump to their 51-3 record this season. As for East Robertson, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 35-3.
