Soccer Recap: Bath Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Southview

There's no place like home for Bath, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Southview Cougars a 5-0 shutout on Saturday. Given Bath's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Southview are ranked 296th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bath's win bumped their record up to 7-2-2. As for Southview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5-1.

Looking ahead, Bath will challenge Ottawa-Glandorf at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ottawa-Glandorf will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bath surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southview, they will venture away from home to square off against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
