Football Recap: Calhoun Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Calhoun and Davenport squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Calhoun had to settle for second. They fell 38-28 to the Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Sandcrabs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Wolves are ranked 73rd).

Ashton Sternadel threw for 143 yards while completing 73.3% of his passes. Raymond Cervantes was his top target, picking up 83 receiving yards. On the ground, Izaiah Cabrales rushed for 168 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries.

Barrett Fallon had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 35 receiving yards for Davenport.

The loss snapped Calhoun's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-5 record. As for Davenport, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
