Baseball Game Preview: Center Roughriders vs. Rusk Eagles

For the second straight game, Center will face off against Rusk. The Roughriders will challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Center has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 17.

Things were looking good for Center after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Rusk by a score of 2-1.

For Rusk's part, Adriel Heridia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, Rusk's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Pepin, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Center's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15-1. As for Rusk, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12-1.
