Football Game Preview: Hector Wildcats vs. Westside Rebels

Hector has gone a perfect 7-0 against Westside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will welcome the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hector had been on a five-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Mount Ida put an end to it on Friday. The Wildcats were beaten by the Lions 49-6. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 41-6 loss at the hands of Magazine. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hector fell to 6-1. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Hector against Westside in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 64-32 victory. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
