Softball Game Preview: Boston Latin Academy Dragons vs. Manchester Essex Hornets

The Boston Latin Academy Dragons will take on the Manchester Essex Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Boston Latin Academy made easy work of Minuteman Regional and carried off a 10-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Maddie Andrade was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Hauck, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Manchester Essex had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Swampscott 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted since April 15, 2024.
