The Boyd Anderson Cobras scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Taravella 52-25 on the road. With Boyd Anderson ahead 31-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Boyd Anderson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ja'Kira Dennis out in front who scored 19 points along with four steals. Dennis hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was Amariah Tomlinson, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Boyd Anderson's win bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Taravella, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Boyd Anderson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dr. Krop at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Dr. Krop presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Boyd Anderson in Florida (Dr. Krop is ranked 215th, while Boyd Anderson is ranked 435th). As for Taravella, they will be playing at home against Stoneman Douglas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
