Soccer Recap: Pleasant Grove Takes a Loss

If Pleasant Grove was riding high fresh off their 6-3 takedown of Chapel Hill last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pleasant Grove Hawks came up short against the Paris Wildcats on Monday, falling 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Pleasant Grove's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Paris, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Grove will take on Sulphur Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sulphur Springs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Pleasant Grove surely won't give up without a fight. As for Paris, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Paris duke it out with the Mount Vernon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
