The Sharon Springs Central Spartans will be staying on the road to face off against the Franklin Central Purple Devils at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Lilly Tessier and Shannon Kingsbury.
Last Wednesday, Sharon Springs Central was beaten by Laurens Central 52-17. Sharon Springs Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-8.

Franklin Central can attribute much of their success to Tamara Wright, who scored eight points, and Kingsbury, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten rebounds, and 11 steals. Kingsbury is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sara Rosenbusch, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Sharon Springs Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Franklin Central, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.
Sharon Springs Central suffered a grim 56-36 defeat to Franklin Central in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Kingsbury, who scored 18 points along with five steals.
