Softball Recap: Whippany Park Triumphs

Whippany Park won the last time they faced Madison and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Dodgers by a score of 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Kiera Swartz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Swartz was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jaeden Antonelli was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Julia Beers was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Whippany Park lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The victory got Whippany Park back to even at 7-7. As for Madison, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
