Volleyball Recap: Hudson Hawks vs. Groton-Dunstable Crusaders
Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. Hudson actually scored more points across those five sets (108-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 21-25, 18-25, 25-22, 16-14.
Despite the loss, Hudson still got an impressive performance from Liv Scafidi, who had 19 digs and three aces.
She wasn't the only good server: Hudson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Hudson's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-3. As for Groton-Dunstable, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Hudson will challenge Westford Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Groton-Dunstable, they will square off against South Lancaster Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
