Calvary Christian and Bishop Verot squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Calvary Christian had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-4. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Ashton Recore was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. He also scored a run, marking his first of the season.

Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 29-4. As for Bishop Verot, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-2 record this season.

While Calvary Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
