Pleasant Valley has gone 8-2 against Foothill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Foothill will be up against a hot Pleasant Valley squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Vikings blew past Shasta 38-7 last Friday. That looming 38-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Vikings yet this season.

Jay Mojica had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 78 yards and three scores on only ten carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Foothill had no trouble coming through when it counted. They breezed past Las Plumas to the tune of 45-6 on Friday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 33 points or more this season.

Foothill's win came from a few key players Pleasant Valley will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was John Puffer, who threw for 305 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Foothill is undefeated when Puffer posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 3-5 otherwise. Turner Knowles was Puffer's top target, picking up 22 receiving yards.
