Soccer Game Preview: Stony Point vs. Cedar Ridge

The Stony Point Tigers will square off against the Cedar Ridge Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stony Point's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Stony Point managed to keep up with McNeil until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tigers lost 4-1 to the Mavericks. While losing is never fun, Stony Point can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 590th, while McNeil are ranked 198th).

Meanwhile, Cedar Ridge has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 6th. They came up short against Round Rock on Tuesday, falling 4-0.

Cedar Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-3. As for Stony Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1.
