Football Recap: Navajo Pine Warriors vs. Clayton Yellowjackets
Saturday just wasn't the day for Navajo Pine's offense. They took a blow against the Clayton Yellowjackets on Saturday, falling 58-0. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
Omar Valdez was his usual excellent self, throwing for 169 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes for Clayton. Isaac Quintana also helped out with an impressive 81 receiving yards.
Navajo Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Clayton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Navajo Pine is on the road again on Friday to play Monument Valley at 7:00 p.m. Navajo Pine is facing Monument Valley at the right time seeing as Monument Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Clayton, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cloudcroft at 1:00 p.m. on September 28th.
