Baseball Recap: Resurrection Christian Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Resurrection Christian duked it out with Sterling on Thursday. The Cougars fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by just one run.

Resurrection Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vincent Fuller, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Resurrection Christian and nudges their season record down to 13-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Sterling, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Resurrection Christian will face off against Eaton at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Reds will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sterling, they will square off against Crowley County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
