Basketball Game Preview: Preston Pirates vs. Beggs Demons

Preston and Beggs are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Preston Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Beggs Demons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Preston will head out to face Beggs after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Preston was outmatched by Dale and fell 68-41. While losing is never fun, Preston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Dale is ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Beggs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 71-50 to Kellyville.

Preston's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4. As for Beggs, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Everything came up roses for Preston against Beggs in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 79-43 win. Does Preston have another victory up their sleeve, or will Beggs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
