The Iroquois Redhawks will take on the Orchard Park Quakers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Iroquois is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

Iroquois will face Orchard Park after dropping another heartbreaker against Maryvale on Tuesday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within 2.1 of beating them. The Redhawks fell just short of the Flyers by a score of 3-2. The Redhawks have struggled against the Flyers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Iroquois saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Slade McTigue, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Orchard Park fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Williamsville North on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Quakers have lost by just one run.

Iroquois' loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Orchard Park, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.
