Recap: Georgia Military College Bulldogs vs. Jasper County Hurricanes
This season hasn't been kind to the Georgia Military College Bulldogs, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a 36-20 bruising from Jasper County on Friday. Georgia Military College lost against Jasper County in their previous head to head last Saturday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 39-28 score last time.
Despite the loss, Georgia Military College saw an underclassman step up: Harmoni Watkins scored five points along with ten rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Georgia Military College's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Jasper County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Georgia Military College will head out on the road to face off against Brentwood at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Brentwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday. Jasper County will be home for the holidays to greet Putnam County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Putnam County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jasper County in Georgia (Putnam County is ranked 129th, while Jasper County is ranked 402nd).
