Baseball Game Preview: Coalgate Wildcats vs. Rejoice Christian Eagles

The Coalgate Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Rejoice Christian Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a proper cat-fight when Coalgate challenged Konawa on Monday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-6 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Coalgate got a massive performance out of Easton Loudermilk, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Loudermilk has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Wilkinson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Rejoice Christian made easy work of Pawhuska on Monday and carried off a 10-1 victory. Considering the Eagles have won 13 contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Rejoice Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-15 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Coalgate, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
