Mountain Crest hasn't had much luck against Ridgeline recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mountain Crest Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 3:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Mountain Crest lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Weber, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's matchup. Mountain Crest was the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Weber on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Morgan Coulam was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Mountain Crest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ridgeline, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let Sky View get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Riverhawks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Like Mountain Crest, Ridgeline also got a great game from a two-way player: Brielle Gardiner. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Gardiner was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Ava Buttars was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those hits were her first of the season. Olivia Nielsen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Ridgeline pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.2 runs. As for Mountain Crest, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Ridgeline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mountain Crest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .502. It's a different story for Ridgeline, though, as they've only averaged .353. Will they be able to contain Mountain Crest's hitters?
Mountain Crest might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Ridgeline when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Mountain Crest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
