Baseball Recap: Waldron Comes Up Short

Waldron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 11-3 to the Mansfield Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 13-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Waldron saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonny Williams, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. Another was Phisher Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Waldron's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Mansfield, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Coming up, Waldron will host Ozark at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mansfield, they will take on Hackett at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
