Baseball Recap: West Noble Comes Up Short

West Noble and NorthWood squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but West Noble had to settle for second. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in April.

Cameron Eash was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

West Noble's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for NorthWood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-12.

West Noble does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for NorthWood, they will take on New Prairie on Saturday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
