Recap: Winter Haven Blue Devils vs. Olympia Titans
The Winter Haven Blue Devils won against the Olympia Titans last Saturday with 74 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Winter Haven secured a 74-69 W over Olympia. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Isaac Celiscar had a dynamite game for Winter Haven, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 10 rebounds. The match was Celiscar's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jamie Phillips Jr, who scored 22 points.
Olympia's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden White, who scored 24 points. Lucca Reinehr was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
Winter Haven now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Olympia, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winter Haven's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sebring at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Sebring will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Winter Haven is ranked 47th). As for Olympia, they will head out on the road to face off against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Osceola's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
