Basketball Recap: Metcalfe County Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Metcalfe County entered their tilt with Somerset on Tuesday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Somerset Briar Jumpers 60-27. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Briar Jumpers are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Metcalfe County pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Somerset, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.
