Basketball Recap: Osborne Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rock Hills last Monday, Osborne came back down to earth. The Osborne Bulldogs fell 58-51 to the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Osborne's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-4-1. As for Sylvan-Lucas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-3-1 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Osborne and Sylvan-Lucas: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Osborne will try to hand Lakeside their third-straight loss when the two meet on Friday. Similarly, Sylvan-Lucas will look to extend Otis-Bison's four-game losing streak when the meet on Friday.
