Basketball Recap: Westville Comes Up Short

Westville entered their game against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Westville Tigers fell 50-42 to the Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 127th).

Westville's loss dropped their record down to 25-6. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they pushed their record up to 29-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Westville will be playing at home against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, they will head out to challenge Monticello at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
