On Friday, Brentwood faced Nolensville in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Brentwood Bruins came out on top against the Nolensville Knights by a score of 59-50. The win was nothing new for the Bruins as they're now sitting on six straight.

Nolensville's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sara Brakefield, who posted seven points along with five rebounds and three blocks. What's more, Brakefield also posted three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Reese Mall, who earned 13 points.

Brentwood pushed their record up to 21-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points over those games. As for Nolensville, their record now sits at 23-3.

Looking ahead, Brentwood will challenge Centennial on Thursday. Brentwood is facing Centennial at the right time seeing as Centennial is stuck on a 21-game losing streak. Nolensville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
