Basketball Recap: Coahulla Creek Takes a Loss

Coahulla Creek lost against Murray County back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Coahulla Creek Colts fell 72-61 to the Murray County Indians. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Indians are ranked 32nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Coahulla Creek and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Murray County, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.

Coahulla Creek will head out to challenge Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coahulla Creek is facing Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at the right time seeing as Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Murray County, they will be home for the holidays to greet Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
