McCook came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Gering Bulldogs. This was payback for the Bison, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Their offense was headlined by Jaylea Walgren and Cali Crawford, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Karstyn Porter and her 35 assists.

McCook's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Gering, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.

McCook has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Southwest on the 20th. As for Gering, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Cambridge on the 20th.
