Football Recap: Eastern Find Success

Eastern's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They skirted past the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds 14-12.

Despite the defeat, Eastern Greene saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Eli Engleking rushed for 106 yards and one TD on only 14 carries. Those 106 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Engleking.

Eastern's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Eastern Greene, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-4.

Coming up, Eastern will be playing in front of their home fans against North Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Musketeers are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Eastern Greene, they are taking a road trip to challenge Paoli at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbirds will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
