Soccer Recap: Oglethorpe County's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Friday just wasn't the day for Oglethorpe County's offense. They fell just short of the Rabun County Wildcats by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Oglethorpe County were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rabun County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Oglethorpe County's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Rabun County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.

Oglethorpe County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Putnam County at 5:30 p.m. on April 15. As for Rabun County, they will head out on the road to take on Banks County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rabun County will be up against Banks County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.71 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
