Recap: Crown Point Panthers vs. Lake Placid Bombers
The Crown Point Panthers won the last time they faced the Lake Placid Bombers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Crown Point took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 74-24 victory over Lake Placid. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-5.
Trevor Harris had an outrageously good game as he scored 50 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least 25% of Crown Point's points. Another player making a difference was Reese Pertak, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten assists.
Crown Point pushed their record up to 2-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lake Placid, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crown Point will square off against Keene Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Placid, they will head out on the road to face off against Bolton Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolton Central and Lake Placid are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
