Recap: Riverside Generals vs. ED White Commanders
The Riverside Generals struggled with assists on Thursday (the ED White Commanders had 900% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Riverside suffered a tough 49-23 loss at the hands of ED White. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Riverside in their matchups with ED White: they've now lost four in a row.
Adriana Ball was Riverside's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Kennis Gray held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
ED White's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alaysha Williams, who scored 15 points along with 6 assists and 5 steals. Williams is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Leandrea McCloud, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for ED White, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will face off against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for ED White, they will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Columbia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
