Basketball Recap: Parlier Comes Up Short

Parlier lost against Sierra Pacific back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers had to suffer through an 83-42 loss at the hands of the Golden Bears. The Panthers were down 66-32 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Sierra Pacific's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aiden Lugo led the charge by putting up 22 points. Lugo's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. Grant Garner was another key player, scoring 17 points and three steals.

Parlier dropped their record down to 3-1 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sierra Pacific, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Parlier and Sierra Pacific will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Panthers see the court they'll take on Woodlake at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Sierra Pacific, their break will end when they face McLane at 6:00 p.m. on December 3.
