Volleyball Game Preview: Pioneer Mustangs vs. Willow Glen Rams

Pioneer is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Willow Glen is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mustangs will welcome the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pioneer is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lincoln just ended the team's eight-match winning streak on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 20-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Willow Glen made easy work of Yerba Buena on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14, 25-18.

Pioneer's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 10-8. As for Willow Glen, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Pioneer was able to grind out a solid victory over Willow Glen in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
