Concord gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They claimed a resounding 72-28 win over the Homer Trojans. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Concord got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Stevens out in front who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds Stevens has posted since back in January. Jett Smith was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 19 points and three steals.
Concord wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-42 win against Hillsdale Academy on the 3rd. As for Homer, they have also already played their next game, a 73-69 defeat against Jonesville on the 5th.
