It was a good run, but Monterey Trail unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Rocklin Thunder by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dehryn Brown paced Monterey Trail's offense, picking up 19 kills. Brown got some help from Chris Huang and his 32 assists. Finally, Donovan Willhite kept Monterey Trail's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Monterey Trail's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Rocklin, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Monterey Trail wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Nevada Union on the 15th.
