Whitney came into Tuesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Live Oak Classical Falcons on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (101-100) Whitney actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 18-25, 29-27, 25-23, 28-26.

Whitney's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Live Oak Classical, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Whitney will welcome Meridian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Live Oak Classical, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on San Juan Diego Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on September 16.
