Basketball Game Preview: Johnston City Indians vs. Goreville Blackcats

Johnston City hasn't had much luck against Goreville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Johnston City Indians will challenge the Goreville Blackcats at 5:00 p.m.

Johnston City is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Saturday. They lost 60-40 to Steeleville.

Meanwhile, Goreville had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-41 win over the Cougars.

Johnston City's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Goreville, their victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-3.

Johnston City took a serious blow against Goreville in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 80-49. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Johnston City was down 43-23.
