Softball Recap: Jasper Wildcats vs. Gibson Southern Titans

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jasper had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Gibson Southern Titans 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted against the Titans since May 7, 2018.

Brianna Barrix made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs.
