Curry waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 24 straight wins... but they left with 25. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Mount Juliet Golden Bears.
Curry got a great performance from Skiely Perry as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Perry has posted since back in March.
At the plate, Ansley Brown was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanie West, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Curry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mount Juliet only posted an OBP of .118.
Curry's record now sits at 30-1. As for Mount Juliet, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-6-1 record.
Curry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Austin on the 5th. As for Mount Juliet, they are taking a road trip to take on Gallatin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
