Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Delavan-Darien

While Delavan-Darien's win against East Troy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Comets won by a set and slipped past the Trojans 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Comets as they're now sitting on four straight.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-105) Delavan-Darien actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-20, 27-25, 21-25, 17-25, 15-12.

Morgan Weiss paced Delavan-Darien's offense, picking up 16 kills. Weiss got some help from Janelle Damrow and her 22 assists. Weiss was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Delavan-Darien's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for East Troy, their loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-16.

Delavan-Darien didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Elkhorn on the 2nd. East Troy has also already played their next match (against Monroe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
