Baseball Recap: Tomball Memorial's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Tomball Memorial owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Klein Oak Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-2 on Tuesday.

Tyler Collins made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Collins was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Collins wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jake Barron, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Barron a new career-high. Another was Cole Peterson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

The win was the fourth in a row for Tomball Memorial, bringing their record up to 18-15-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Klein Oak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12-2.

As of now, neither Tomball Memorial nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
