Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Catholic Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

St. Joseph Catholic had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 70-60 victory over the Yazoo County Panthers. The Bruins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Yazoo County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Anthony Hudson, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds, and Amari Southern, who earned 17 points and seven boards. Kezyron Young was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Yazoo County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Catholic will take on Louisville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yazoo County, they will face off against Hartfield Academy at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
