Softball Recap: Harlan Takes a Loss

Harlan lost against O'Connor back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Harlan Hawks took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the O'Connor Panthers.

Lily Lugo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Gabby Gutierrez also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.

Harlan's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for O'Connor, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Harlan will challenge Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harlan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season. As for O'Connor, they will head out on the road to face off against Brennan at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Connor's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Brennan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
