Softball Recap: St. Joseph Academy Comes Up Short

St. Joseph Academy came into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Borrego Springs Rams by a score of 10-8 on Friday. The Crusaders just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Borrego Springs, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph Academy will head out on the road to face off against Maranatha Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Borrego Springs, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Warner at 3:30 p.m. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
