Basketball Game Preview: Animas Panthers vs. Quemado Eagles

Animas is 8-2 against Quemado since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Animas Panthers will face off against the Quemado Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Animas has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while Quemado will arrive with seven straight victories.

Animas came up short against Cliff on Tuesday, falling 49-23.

Magdalena typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Quemado proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 52-46 W over the Steers.

Animas' loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Quemado, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Animas came up short against Quemado in their previous meeting on February 1st, falling 38-27. Can Animas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
